Rondevlei Nature Reserve
The Reserve offers its visitors many facilities to make their visit a pleasant and educational one.

The waterside trail
The path is approximately 1 km. long, but, as one has to turn around and come back the same way, the whole walk is approximately 2 km's. This is very relaxing and the bird hides and observation towers (see below) make this a birdwatcher's paradise.

The Bird Hides and Observation Towers
There are 6 bird hides and 2 observation towers...
The hides provide a hideout from the birds so that birdwatchers can get closer without frightening off the birds and sometimes small mammals.
The towers are situated at opposite ends of the waterside trail, allowing for greater view of the islands and the vlei itself.

The Leonard Gill Museum
The museum consists of various display cabinets, the largest being full of mounted stuffed birds. Other informative cabinets include "Bird Migrations", "The Rondevlei Hippos' History", and "Man's effects on Nature".

Lecture Theater and Resource Centre
Both the Lecture Theater and the Resource Centre are used for educational purposes. For more information, please contact Imvubu Nature Tours.
